What it is
Silviero World is a painted Mediterranean town seen from above, like a model on a table: whitewashed walls, terracotta, pergolas, pools and little squares, with the light following the clock in Madrid. George Silviero, a painter working in Valencia, builds it quarter by quarter. The paintings on its walls are his real works.
Anyone can live in it. Every resident is a real person: a little character painted from their photo walks the streets, and a tap on it opens their Instagram or TikTok. People move in by invitation — the town answers comments on its videos by painting the commenters in — or with a pass from the kiosk. The first 1,000 residents are its founders.
On the town square stands “A Million Hearts”, a collective painting that gathers every resident. Passes and likes on the town’s posts fill its counter — one heart for every euro or dollar and one for every 100 likes — and the painting grows with them, cell by cell, towards a million.
