One hand, two ways of working

Working from place
A recurring subject in the work is landscape as memory — not a view, but the shape of a place. It is most literal in Places, where the real coastline, streets and relief of a chosen point on earth become the painting. It runs quietly through the other paintings too.
The instinct behind it is simple: people do not keep a picture of a mountain because the mountain is beautiful. They keep it because they were there.

The studio is in Valencia, on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. Work is shipped worldwide from here, and commissions are discussed directly with the artist rather than through a gallery.
