The awning came down in June and will go up again when somebody remembers, which is usually October. Underneath, the geraniums do what geraniums do in this heat: refuse to die out of pure stubbornness. The railing was made by a man who believed every curl should be different. Nobody sits on the balcony. It is there to be looked after, the way some people keep a dog they never walk.
The canvas
- Printed with fade-resistant inks on poly-cotton canvas, 344 g/m²
- Hand-stretched over solid wood bars, 3.18 cm (1.25″) deep
- Gallery wrap: the sides continue the picture as a mirror of its edges, so nothing on the front is lost around the frame
- Arrives ready to hang, mounting brackets included
- Vertical 2:3, in four sizes from 30 × 46 cm (12 × 18″) to 61 × 91 cm (24 × 36″)
- Unframed, or in a floating pine frame — black, brown or white — in 30 × 46, 51 × 76 and 61 × 91 cm
