About
this work
She swims the length forty times every afternoon and has never once gone off the board. The ladder is chrome, the deck is hot enough to run on, and the diving board sits in the corner of the picture like an unanswered letter. Forty lengths is not a sport. It is a way of not being spoken to for an hour.
The canvas
- Printed with fade-resistant inks on poly-cotton canvas, 344 g/m²
- Hand-stretched over solid wood bars, 3.18 cm (1.25″) deep
- Gallery wrap: the sides continue the picture as a mirror of its edges, so nothing on the front is lost around the frame
- Arrives ready to hang, mounting brackets included
- Vertical 2:3, in four sizes from 30 × 46 cm (12 × 18″) to 61 × 91 cm (24 × 36″)
- Unframed, or in a floating pine frame — black, brown or white — in 30 × 46, 51 × 76 and 61 × 91 cm
Made to order
Each canvas is printed and stretched after you order it, which takes a few working days before it ships. Delivery time and cost are shown at checkout. Making to order instead of in bulk means nothing gets printed that nobody wanted.
