About
this work
They built the future in the old riverbed and painted it white so it would stay new. The ribs curve over the water, palms stand in for a garden, and the pool doubles everything, as if one of each were not quite enough. Across the middle, very small, a woman in a red dress walks on her way to somewhere ordinary. She is the only thing in the picture that is not trying to be tomorrow.
The canvas
- Printed with fade-resistant inks on poly-cotton canvas, 344 g/m²
- Hand-stretched over solid wood bars, 3.18 cm (1.25″) deep
- Gallery wrap: the sides continue the picture as a mirror of its edges, so nothing on the front is lost around the frame
- Arrives ready to hang, mounting brackets included
- Vertical 2:3, in four sizes from 30 × 46 cm (12 × 18″) to 61 × 91 cm (24 × 36″)
Made to order
Each canvas is printed and stretched after you order it, which takes a few working days before it ships. Delivery time and cost are shown at checkout. Making to order instead of in bulk means nothing gets printed that nobody wanted.
