About
this work
Out on the lagoon the water barely reaches the waist, which is why the boats are flat and the men stand up to steer them. He pushes off with the long pole the way it has always been done, past the whitewashed barraca with its roof of reeds and the rice that turns gold in September. The light at this hour does not need anyone to admire it. It gets admired anyway.
The canvas
- Printed with fade-resistant inks on poly-cotton canvas, 344 g/m²
- Hand-stretched over solid wood bars, 3.18 cm (1.25″) deep
- Gallery wrap: the sides continue the picture as a mirror of its edges, so nothing on the front is lost around the frame
- Arrives ready to hang, mounting brackets included
- Vertical 2:3, in four sizes from 30 × 46 cm (12 × 18″) to 61 × 91 cm (24 × 36″)
Made to order
Each canvas is printed and stretched after you order it, which takes a few working days before it ships. Delivery time and cost are shown at checkout. Making to order instead of in bulk means nothing gets printed that nobody wanted.
