Under the Pine That Leans

The pine has been leaning towards the sea for sixty years and has not got there yet. Under it the lawn is greener, because the gardener waters where people actually sit. It is early afternoon, the hour when the park belongs to whoever has nowhere to be. One person has taken the best spot and is pretending to read. The small pond in the grass reflects a sky so even it looks painted on.

The canvas

• Printed with fade-resistant inks on poly-cotton canvas, 344 g/m²
• Hand-stretched over solid wood bars, 3.18 cm (1.25″) deep
• Gallery wrap: the sides continue the picture as a mirror of its edges, so nothing on the front is lost around the frame
• Arrives ready to hang, mounting brackets included
• Vertical 2:3, in four sizes from 30 × 46 cm (12 × 18″) to 61 × 91 cm (24 × 36″)
• Unframed, or in a floating pine frame — black, brown or white — in 30 × 46, 51 × 76 and 61 × 91 cm
